Winter Song

When I moved to Vancouver from Edmonton, I missed the cold and snow and warm hearths of winter, and I remember a very specific night in 2010 when the west coast got our rare snow, and I heard this song for the first time. All the sadness of being away from home during the holidays came flooding in, but the joy and beauty of the falling snow and this haunting song created one my favourite arrangements I’ve ever written down - and most of it is just straight from the original. Thanks to my dear friends in the short-lived Sonic Boom A Cappella for bringing this arrangement to life with heart and authenticity, and adding notes that found there way into the ink over the years.
